There are just some weddings that are so beautifully simple and lovely, that leave a warm fuzzy feeling in your heart because you connect with the couple and they are just amazing human beings and you know that they deserve each other. This was the case with Lina and Adam. They are such a sweet couple that you really wish the best for them. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

        From the get-go, their vision was a colorful wedding because for them it meant it was a reflection of their happiness. The couple chooses Cartagena, Colombia for their destination wedding because of Lina’s heritage to the country. The wedding was the epitome of simple elegance, all focused on the love between the bride and groom. Both the ceremony and reception took place at El Marques Boutique Hotel, a charming colonial house in the heart of Cartagena’s old city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          The ceremony was held in the house\u2019s great room, while the reception took place in the magnificent courtyard.  The house was also the main lodging for their guests, which meant that they had the whole place to themselves for the whole weekend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            For the Lina and Adam, it was so important for the guest to have an unforgettable event. They welcomed their guest with a luncheon the day before the wedding at the house.  Although informal it gave their guest an informal taste of what was to come.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            On the wedding day, Lina we suggested to Lina to get ready in the adjacent suite to the great room. Although this is not one of the biggest rooms in the house, this move proved to be great, because it not only meant that she would walk out from the room right on to the ceremony aisle, but it gave the photographers, access to some beautiful pictures of the bride in the ceremony area, before any of the guests would arrive.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

            After the ceremony, Lina and Adam, took a carriage ride with the photographers for their own intimate session of photos, while the guests were treated with a cocktail hour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            The reception was as colorful as the couple wanted but done with Elegance and taste.  To balance the array of colors, the planners and designers chose silver to anchor it all. This was done with table linens, chairs, and plate chargers. At each table setting the menu was a continuation of the colorful centerpieces. Placement cards where handwritten tiles with each guest’s name.  The sweetheart table was a beautiful wrought iron tree-like base that gave the impression of a tree flowering out on to the table.  Depending on the guest\u2019s gender, ladies had were greeted with a colorful artisanal fan.  For the guys, a Cuban type hat casually placed on the chair\u2019s back, giving the entire setting a \u201csit down and enjoy\u201d feeling. The cake was an extension of the overall colorful design, with a cascade of flowers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

            As the night wore on, we could tell that there was an energy on the guests that were waiting to be released.  The bride and groom had warned us ahead of time to be \u201cready to party\u201d as they knew that their guests wouldn\u2019t waste a second trying to get on the dance floor. The dancing got kicking as early as the cocktail hour and had it not been for the obligatory wedding speeches, I\u2019m sure the guests would have moved right onto the dance floor. By the time the party did start, the energy of the evening was set to last a while. The party lasted until the doors of El Marques were finally forced to close.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
